Terms of Sale
Last updated: April 30, 2026
1. Acceptance
By purchasing Purrito, you agree to these Terms of Sale and the Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not complete the purchase.
2. Merchant of Record — Polar
All purchases of Purrito are processed by Polar Software, Inc. ("Polar"), who acts as the Merchant of Record for this transaction. This means Polar is legally responsible for:
- Collecting and remitting applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax)
- Processing your payment and issuing receipts
- Handling chargebacks and payment disputes
- Complying with consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction
Your purchase is also subject to Polar's Terms of Service and Polar's Privacy Policy.
3. Product & License
Purrito is a novelty macOS application — a virtual cat that lives in your menu bar. You are purchasing a lifetime personal license to use the software on your own Mac. The license is non-transferable and cannot be resold or shared.
4. Price & Taxes
The purchase price is $5.99 USD, one-time. There is no subscription and no auto-renewal. Applicable taxes (VAT, etc.) are calculated and collected by Polar at checkout based on your location. The displayed price may therefore vary.
The developer (Thibault Demars) does not have access to your payment card details.
5. License Delivery
After purchase, your license key is delivered by email from Polar. Keep it — you'll need it to activate Purrito on a new Mac or after a reinstall.
If you lose your license key, you can recover it at polar.sh/purrito/portal/request.
6. System Requirements
Purrito requires macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or later, on Apple Silicon (M1 or later) or Intel. It is your responsibility to verify compatibility before purchasing.
7. Refund Policy
A refund is available if the Software does not function on a supported device. To request one, contact refund@purrito.app within 30 days of purchase. Refunds are processed by Polar.
Refunds are not granted for change of mind or incompatibility with unsupported hardware or macOS versions.
For payment-related disputes (duplicate charge, unauthorized transaction), contact Polar directly at polar.sh/support.
8. Updates
All future updates to Purrito are included in the one-time purchase price for the lifetime of the product. The developer may discontinue the product at any time but will not charge for updates to existing purchasers.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Software is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total developer liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Software.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall first be addressed by contacting hello@purrito.app. If unresolved, you may refer the matter to the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
